Job Summary
Manage day-to-day billing, claims issues, denials, and follow-up for assigned regions by proactively researching and rectifying delayed submissions or payments. Analyze denial causes and payer trends, then prepare corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals via portals or fax while making outbound calls to resolve payment issues. Ensure patient medical information accuracy, document accounts using the billing system, and provide reporting on accounts receivable issues to the team lead. Assist with internal and external audits and maintain current knowledge of payer policies and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis
- Must be highly professional and an effective communicator
- Detail and results oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently while in a remote working environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly in a changing environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information
- Understanding of basic principles of revenue cycle, accounts receivables, denial management and coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD10)
Desired Qualifications
- Education in medical billing

- Mod Med/EMA practice management system experience
