Job Summary
Compile amounts owed by customers and input figures into the accounting system. Perform clerical work supporting accounts receivables functions, including answering telephones, relaying messages, and transferring calls. Prepare and review written documents such as daily logs, business letters, and memoranda while proofreading for accuracy. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems, then check figures and documents for correct entry and proper codes. Generate finance and accounting reports from computer systems as needed and maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets. Complete period-end closing procedures and organize secure files in accordance with document retention policies. Adhere to company policies, maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials, and support co-workers to promote teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience is required
- Demonstrates strong computer skills
