Job Summary
Accounts Receivable Specialist at Horizon ensures timely revenue collection from insurance providers, performs AR follow-up and collections (including submitting replacement claims and appeals), communicates with insurance representatives to resolve claim processing issues, maintains up-to-date payer processes, leads monthly meetings for assigned payer groups, serves as the subject matter expert for payers, and assists with month-end tasks such as write-offs and AR cleanup.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 6 months of experience with health insurance, including payment application and claiming processes required.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Experience with Cerner Millenium is a plus.
- Strong analytical and customer service skills
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to provide close attention to detail.
