Job Summary
Monitor A/R aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts while performing credit analysis. Initiate collection calls, emails, faxes, and letters, working with Circulation and Advertising Managers to escalate collection actions. Distribute A/R aging reports, discuss issues with stakeholders, and maintain the A/R collections module in the Circulation and Advertising System. Perform customer revenue and A/R trend analysis, and take initiative to refine procedures. Demonstrate ethical behavior and tact in client communication. This remote role requires residence in Colorado or Ohio, with a schedule of 8:00am - 5:00pm MST, Monday-Friday.
Required Qualifications
- GED or high school diploma
- Associate's degree
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems with some supervision
- Accounting process and controls knowledge
- Strong sense of urgency combined with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to create Excel spreadsheets using formulas
- 10 key proficiency
- Interpersonal skills and team collaboration skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of automated collections/accounts Receivable/accounting systems
- Must reside in Colorado or Ohio
- Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks
