ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & PMI OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Job Summary

Research and validate payment adjustments, apply cash receipts to outstanding invoices, and manually enter premium payments before month-end. Resolve file-upload failures, monitor suspense items, and manage customer correspondence via phone and email. Process monthly PMI premiums, certificate adjustments, and servicer transfers while documenting issues in ServiceNow and routing documentation for resolution. Maintain complete records for both cash application and private mortgage insurance portfolios with high accuracy. Requires strong data-entry skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Accounts receivable, accounting, mortgage servicing, banking, insurance, or comparable financial operations experience involving payment processing, research, reconciliation, billing, or account maintenance
  • Availability to work periodic overtime as business needs require
  • Cash Handling positions: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time
  • PMI Maintenance position shifts range from 8 AM to 8 PM EST

Desired Qualifications

  • Mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance, or private mortgage insurance (PMI) experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with certificate or loan portfolio maintenance
  • Experience using ServiceNow (SNOW) or a comparable case, ticket, or workflow management system is preferred
  • Typing speed of at least 10,000 keystrokes per hour or 45 words per minute, with strong data-entry accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of the basic functions in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and the ability to balance customer needs with business requirements
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, time-management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently with little or no supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new assignments in a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Ability to contribute ideas that improve processes and team effectiveness, assist and motivate colleagues, and influence positive outcomes
  • Exceptional attention to detail, research ability, and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to identify discrepancies, document findings, and complete work correctly under time constraints
