Accounts Receivable Lead

Job Summary

Manage collections for Accounts Receivable and the Company by contacting clients on 30-50 daily invoice issues and communicating regarding outstanding payments. Serve as the main liaison between Accounts Receivable Associates and the Controller, reviewing the Exchange Account monthly to ensure timely resolution of details. Monitor 300-400 customer accounts for nonpayment and irregularities, then resolve high-volume collections by examining payment plans and history. Locate, code, and process credit card payments while ensuring invoices have correct job designations and branch information. Prepare AR Aging and "Show Me the Money" reports monthly, process statements, and handle credit/debit memos. Occasionally manage legal matters including demand letters and write-offs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts receivable environment
  • Background in construction or business to business collections
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel) applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results
