Job Summary
Prepare invoices using QuickBooks, process customer payments, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and prepare outbound shipments by packing, labeling, and generating shipping documentation. Coordinate with vendors and carriers while maintaining inventory and answering phones to support daily operations. This hybrid role balances accounting duties with warehouse activities in a family-owned small business environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach while performing shipping and receiving duties
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Dependable, honest, and committed to accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Previous accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or office experience
- Shipping and receiving or warehouse experience
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys keeping things organized and accurate
