Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Job Summary

Manage third-party claim submission, scrubbing, and editing to ensure optimal reimbursement and maximize cash flow. Resolve denials, process payment postings, and follow up on all related correspondence in accordance with Federal, state, and hospital billing requirements. Prioritize work to maintain Epic system functionality and assist staff in productivity training and corrective action plans. Identify and implement plans to minimize claim rejections while serving as a backup to the accounts receivable team. Submit and track claims on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with UB04 and 1500 payer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in hospital accounts receivable with government payors, such as Medicare and Medicaid
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Three years of physician business office experience
  • Previous and thorough knowledge of third party payors and payment posting process for all major insurances
  • Must be available for Full Time, Days, 40 hours/week Mon-Fri, no nights, weekends, or holidays 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
