Job Summary
Review and verify customer credit documents, run business credit reports, and conduct independent risk assessments for new and existing accounts. Collaborate with Sales reps per SOP to manage credit requests, assign risk grades, and provide recommendations to leadership on credit terms. Process daily banking transactions including wires, checks, and refunds while extracting and analyzing transaction reports in SAP. Identify deteriorating accounts and take timely action to minimize potential losses. This entry-level role supports the global shipping and logistics team at HMM, a leader in sustainable maritime transport solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience in Accounts Receivable and managing outstanding balances and financial records
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets (advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, v lookups) and accounting software (ERP or SAP)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret A/R system data and program
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer aptitude (excel, word, power point, outlook)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with surrounding team members
Desired Qualifications
- College education graduates preferred but not required
- Entry-level position, but 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or general accounting preferred
- Bilingual preferred (Korean) but not required
