Accounts Receivable Collections Coordinator

Job Summary
Support new and existing franchisees and customers with account inquiries, reporting, billing, and payment-related issues. Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, then process and post customer payments to the appropriate accounts. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, contact customers regarding overdue accounts, and establish payment arrangements as appropriate. Investigate and reconcile account discrepancies, analyze creditworthiness using external tools, and identify delinquent accounts requiring escalation. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and other departments to resolve account concerns and prepare periodic reports for management review. Maintain accurate customer records, ensure compliance with accounting procedures, and recommend process improvements to enhance collection effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, or a related accounting function
- Experience communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, collections procedures, and account reconciliation practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while fostering positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Overtime as required
- Sitting for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, or franchise management systems
