Job Summary
Generate client invoices, submit statements, and run reports to support financial operations. Review invoices for documentation and approval, reconcile vendor accounts, and respond to vendor inquiries. Submit new billings and email appeals to attorneys, assist with month-end closing, and code documents per firm procedures. Identify and report discrepancies while performing routine account reconciliation, data entry, and spreadsheet maintenance. Cross-train in other accounting areas and handle miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned. Ensure compliance with federal, state regulations, and firm policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required (or Bachelor's degree in progress)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry or an office environment, preferably in a law firm or legal setting
- Proficiency with technology and ability to quickly learn new systems and applications
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work independently as well as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with legal billing and document management software (TABS, NetDocuments, Legal Exchange, etc.) is a plus
