Job Summary
Accurately post and reconcile insurance and patient payments across Bristol Health entities while managing patient cash received from other departments. Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries, complaints, and payment needs, resolving credit balance accounts and supporting charity care applications. Investigate payment posting discrepancies, insurance denials, and unidentified cash accounts by communicating with carriers, hospital personnel, and patients to clarify information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies while maintaining detailed logs for all posting activities and account adjustments. Work 36 hours Monday through Friday with a high school diploma required and five years of healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient accounts, or related financial services
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, EOB interpretation, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment with high attention to detail and confidentiality
