Job Summary
Process and apply customer payments accurately and timely while monitoring accounts for discrepancies, unapplied cash, and outstanding balances. Prepare invoices, statements, and reconciliations, then contact customers regarding unpaid invoices to assist with collections while maintaining positive relationships. Resolve billing inquiries by partnering with internal departments and external customers, and maintain accurate account records and supporting documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliations, analysis, and reporting, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounts receivable processes and internal controls. This hybrid role in Mt. Laurel, NJ requires three days in-office and two remote days.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable, accounting, or related financial experience
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and general accounting practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- This is a hybrid position, based in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office, three days a week, with two days remote
