Job Summary
Supervise, train, and support staff with accounts payable questions, proper expense coding, document processing, and related activities. Assist with troubleshooting and reconciling vendor statements and invoices, maintain timely payment processes per policy, and reconcile outstanding invoices to the general ledger. Oversee cash disbursements, manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing cycle, and prepare financial reports such as 1099s. Analyze processes for improvement recommendations and ensure professional communication with internal and external contacts. Manage and mentor the accounts payable team while solving problems proactively. This on-site role at UTMC/HCEW-MS in City of Industry, CA, requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of supervisory experience, and Microsoft Dynamics D365 proficiency. Salary is $85,000 to $100,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum three years of accounting or accounts payable supervisory experience
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience
- Demonstrate understanding of and ability to proficiently interpret, apply and explain commonly used accounts payable concepts, practices and procedures
- Demonstrate general knowledge of basic accounting process flows and concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively
- Demonstrate an ability to be a proactive problem solver
- Demonstrate good general computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to a growing and changing environment and a commitment to getting the job done
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Occasionally required to lift 10 lbs up to 25 lbs
