Job Summary
Oversees all stages of the accounts payable function including disbursement checks, electronic payment requests, and AP reporting in accordance with GAAP; supervises AP staff, trains and mentors team, and ensures accurate vendor payments, credit card transactions, and 1099 processing. Performs month-end/year-end closings, maintains vendor data, processes tribal member payments for CIT enterprises, and supports internal controls to safeguard assets. Communicates findings and prepares reports on status, activities, and plans for current and future operations; requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to work with cross-functional teams within a tribal government context.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
