Job Summary
Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a team in daily AP processing, participate in monthly close, and drive performance improvements. Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, ensuring policy compliance, conducting performance reviews, coordinating team meetings, participating in process reviews and testing, and handling reconciliations, variance analysis, and customer service with strong problem-resolution skills. Requires 2+ years in accounting with a Bachelor’s or 5+ years without a degree plus at least 1 year of supervisory experience (or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience); Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred; proficient Excel skills and knowledge of Lawson or similar ERP systems; ability to balance deadlines, collaborate cross-functionally, and maintain integrity and ethics in daily operations. The role operates on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day from home) and involves implementing training, performance management, and potentially leading IT/system projects within Shared Services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Two-years previous Accounting experience with Bachelor Degree or five-years previous Accounting experience without Bachelor's Degree, and one year of previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with three years of experience preferred.
- Moderate to advanced Excel knowledge
- Knowledge of Lawson accounting and other customized software applications preferred.
