Job Summary
Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for leading invoice processing using AS400 and QAD, verifying accuracy and compliance, driving AP automation, and managing electronic payments for weekly runs. Reconciliation of AP transactions, monitoring utilities and rents payments for Canada and the USA, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting month-end reporting, and mentoring junior team members. Requires 7+ years in AP, proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics), and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Strong emphasis on data analytics, process optimization, vendor relations, and cross-regional collaboration; guided by a culture of accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
- English B2 minimum
- Spanish fluent
- Strong communication and vendor management skills
- Ability to work with ERP tooling and automation (AP automation tools)
- Excellent data analytics and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and reliability
