Job Summary
Monitor assigned accounts for timeliness and accuracy of payments; obtain invoice approvals; review for accuracy; coordinate AP department activities when supervisor is out; print checks and submit ACH payments; train new employees; assist with yearly 1099 forms; ensure accuracy and timely payment of invoices; handle escalated AP issues; function as back-up to AP Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of accounts payable experience
- Two years of college or technical certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable practices and procedure
- Ability to supervise and train subordinates
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
- Familiarity with online banking systems is a plus
