Job Summary
Accounts Payable Specialist - Construction role focusing on processing and coding vendor invoices, matching to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving docs; preparing weekly payments (checks, ACH, wires); reconciling statements; maintaining organized AP records; responding to vendor inquiries; supporting month-end close with accruals and reconciliations; tracking lien waivers and subcontractor documentation; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; and assisting the finance team with additional duties. Requires 3+ years of AP experience, preferably in construction, experience with high-volume invoices, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and demonstrated detail-orientation, organization, communication, and problem-solving ability.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Construction industry accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience processing high-volume invoices
- Strong understanding of invoice coding, reconciliations, and payment processing
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
