Job Summary
Match purchase orders with invoices, resolve discrepancies with purchasing, and route invoices without purchase orders for approval. Respond to vendor inquiries about invoices and payments while proactively managing vendor statements and resolving discrepancies. Review purchase order receiving reports to address older items and issues, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Backup weekly accounts payable payment batches as needed. Requires a high school diploma, proficiency in Excel and financial software, and a valid driver's license. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Proficient knowledge in computer systems including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic scheduling and e-mail, and financial planning software
- The ability to express ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- The ability to work collaboratively with others towards a common goal
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous manufacturing environment experience
- 1+ years of accounts payable experience
- Familiarity with accounting principles
