Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring timely AP closing, period-end accruals, account reconciliation, and invoice review. Manage the AP Master Vendor file, including Form W-9 completion, and direct check proposals, issuance, wire transfers, and letters of credit. Lead the Accounts Payable team through coaching, development, and training while evaluating process improvements for efficiency. Resolve daily problem invoices and vendor issues, perform vendor analyses, and assist Treasury with daily cash reports. Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and federal laws. Maintain maximum workflow efficiency and demonstrate high professionalism in communication with customers, peers, and management.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or a directly related field
- Excellent knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proven reconciliation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in NetSuite
- Demonstrated proficiency in Zone Capture
- Working knowledge of MS Office including strong Excel abilities
- Must be able to see, hear and speak in order to communicate with employees and other customers
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 20 lbs
