Job Summary
Lead the full-cycle accounts payable process in Chicago, overseeing daily AP operations, guiding AP staff, and ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices and payments. Key responsibilities include invoice entry, coding, approvals, payment runs, acting as escalation point for AP issues and vendor inquiries, reviewing work for accuracy, enforcing internal controls, reconciling AP to the general ledger, assisting with month-end close, supporting audits, and participating in process improvement initiatives. Requires 4–6 years AP experience with AP Lead/Manager experience, strong AP knowledge, ERP and Excel proficiency, and effective communication to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of accounts payable experience
- AP Lead/Manager role experience
- Strong understanding of core AP processes and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems and Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
