Job Summary
Lead all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice intake, coding, approvals, vendor setup, payment processing, and reconciliations. Monitor AP aging, address overdue invoices and disputes, and manage vendor master files and onboarding. Direct the day-to-day work of remote AP support contractors, coordinate workflow assignments, and plan resource allocation. Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies, support month-end and year-end close processes, and provide visibility into cash requirements through weekly and monthly payment planning. Maintain compliance with company policies, audit trails, and internal controls while tracking team productivity metrics. This role requires on-site presence three days per week in Massachusetts with a base salary of $75,000-$95,000.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- 1+ years of experience leading or directing the work of others (e.g., as a team lead, project lead, or similar role); formal supervisory or people-management experience is not required
- Experience managing high-volume invoice processing environments
- Strong understanding of AP controls, payment processes, and vendor management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Ability to use a computer, telephone and standard office equipment
- Ability to comply with safety and security requirements, including access-controlled areas
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
