Accounts Payable Lead

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end accounts payable for 3 UK entities and 1 German entity, oversee supplier invoices, approvals, vendor data, and payment runs; drive process automation, SOP development, and KPI reporting; collaborate with procurement and finance to optimize purchasing-to-payment processes; require strong Xero experience, UK VAT knowledge, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Role is based in Cape Town, South Africa, working UK hours; reports to finance leadership and partners with Montu UK's UK-based teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading Accounts Payable for a UK entity
- Exposure to UK VAT/Tax regimes
- Experience with inventory, consignment stock, prepaid orders, PO management
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
- Ability to develop SOPs and drive process automation
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and multi-priority management
- Excellent communication and customer-service mindset
- Willingness to work with UK-based teams and align to UK hours
