Accounts Payable Intake Specialist

Accounts Payable Intake Specialist responsibilities include reviewing invoice packages, creating payment vouchers in the financial system, and distributing to the appropriate team while ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance prior to certification. Day-to-day tasks involve applying regulations to review and process vouchers and invoices, examining documents for accuracy and compliance, identifying and resolving discrepancies, providing professional support to stakeholders via email, phone, and Teams, ensuring compliance with the Prompt Payment Act and financial policies, entering and processing transactions in DoS financial systems, validating voucher details, analyzing payments related to various contract types, performing quality control and reconciliation for vendor payments, and supporting ISO 9001 quality management principles. The role is a 100% on-site position in Charleston, SC, within the Department of State (DoS) CGFS, Office of Payables and Receivables, and includes operations involving multiple DoS and financial systems, vendor management, and compliance activities.
