Job Summary
Review payables for accuracy and authorization, generate payment requests, compile data, and run accounts payable reports using the Oracle accounting system. Reconcile invoices and interact with internal departments regarding payables issues while resolving vendor inquiries. This full-time position in Milpitas, California, offers an annual rate of $23.00–$30.00 plus benefits. Overtime may be required based on business needs, and the role involves Monday through Friday office hours with occasional travel between buildings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of experience working in accounts payable processing large volumes of invoices (75-100/day)
- Experience using Oracle accounting software or similar accounting system
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- General knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and techniques
- Extensive knowledge of the AP function, including processing invoices, resolving issues, and verifying payables for accuracy and authorization
- Knowledge of Oracle accounting software
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, management, and vendors
- Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
- Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
- Flexible and able to prioritize
- May occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds
