Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary
Accounts Payable Clerk handles processing invoices, matches invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, enters invoices into the accounting system, processes check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers, maintains vendor files, reconciles vendor statements, responds to vendor inquiries about payment status, monitors accounts to ensure payments are current, assists with month-end closing, and maintains organized accounting records with supporting documentation. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, proficiency with Excel and accounting software/ERP systems, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, ability to handle confidential financial information, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Global Shop and familiarity with high-volume invoice processing are desirable
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with AI or other automation job aids are a plus
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Global Shop
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in high-volume invoice processing environments
