Job Summary
Process payments by obtaining proper information, verifying accuracy, and reconciling outstanding balances. Conduct detailed reviews of accounts and cost centers to ensure proper expense coding in the general ledger. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and monitor credit memos to maximize discount opportunities. Maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal guests while adhering to departmental policies and confidentiality standards. This role supports Thunder Valley Casino Resort's ELITE service mission and AAA Four Diamond standards. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of accounts payable experience, and the ability to obtain a UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
- Normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
- Ability to sit for prolonged time periods
- Ability to view a computer monitor for prolonged time periods
- Ability to perform basic data entry, including operating a 10-key calculator by touch
- Good computer skills with ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite and electronic filing systems
- Strong organizational, investigative and problem-solving resolution skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- At least two (2) years of prior high-volume accounts payable experience
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
