Job Summary
Experienced Accounts Payable Clerk needed to support Accounts Payable Manager in paying bills timely and accurately. Responsibilities include sorting and coding vendor invoices, verifying pricing, posting debits/credits, balancing entries, reconciling monthly vendor statements, maintaining organized vendor files, copying invoices for vehicle maintenance and DMV renewals, and assisting with supporting documentation for work orders. Requires strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency with Excel and automated accounting systems. Position based in the Champions Group corporate office in Brea, CA with standard office environment duties and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-4 years college education preferred
- 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of accounts payable practices and principles
- Ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers to ensure accuracy
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to use an automated accounting system
- Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing
- Basic data entry and/or word processing skills; intermediate knowledge of Excel
