Job Summary
Review incoming invoices for completeness, approval, and prior payment history. Enter invoice data into accounting software and process remittances where applicable. Mail checks and file voucher copies with backup information for Finance and DDP departments. Assist the DDP AP Associate with entering DDP invoice data. Research statements, vendor inquiries, program inquiries, and payment issues. This 35-hour Monday through Friday role supports the DDP department within the Finance Department at The Salvation Army.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- some college preferred, with emphasis in Finance/Accounting or at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate competency of computer software including Word and Excel
- Strategic thinker and effective decision maker
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple levels of operations
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environment
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
- Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
- Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army
