Accounts Payable Associate

Job Summary
Review invoices, expense reports, and credit card receipts for accuracy, then enter accounts payable transactions in Sage Intacct with proper coding and attached support. Balance and reconcile vendor and credit card statements while maintaining vendor information and responding to inquiries. Maintain electronic filing systems for accounting files and analyze trends to propose effective procedures. Back up team members during PTO or illness and provide additional support to the Finance and Operations team as needed. This role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail within a 24/7 operation that includes holidays.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree or a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in Accounting
- Job experience in accounts payable for a minimum of 3 years
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and data management skills
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Strong desire to learn new skills and comfort working in a evolving environment
- Proven aptitude to manage and juggle many competing priorities
- Able to move fluidly between collaborative and independent work styles
- Curious and entrepreneurial mindset
- Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by airline regulations and company policies
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1968
- Fluency in English
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Computer, office equipment, phone skills
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including holidays
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements related to aircraft weight limitations before and during employment
Desired Qualifications
- Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite/Great Plains/ SAP/SAGE Intacct, preferred
