Job Summary
Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant at Red River Commodities. Responsibilities include processing and verifying a high volume of vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, assisting with expense tracking and coding to general ledger, data entry and maintenance of records, communicating with vendors on invoice status and payment schedules, ensuring compliance with policies and tax laws, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and driving process improvements. Requires attention to detail, ability to work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Receiving, and Operations, and strong communication skills. Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting (2+ years) and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
- Experience with high-volume invoice processing
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics; Advanced Excel skills
