Job Summary

Accounts Payable Clerk responsible for processing and monitoring outgoing payments to vendors; verifies invoices, enters invoices into the accounting system, matches invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports, performs check runs and electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers), monitors accounts for timely payments, resolves invoice discrepancies, maintains vendor files, supports month-end closing with reports and reconciliations, and assists with audits. Requires associate’s degree in Accounting or related field and 2 years of AP experience; proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus; Florida driver’s license required. Emphasis on accuracy, organization, and effective communication within a municipal finance environment; role located in Pembroke Park, FL with typical on-site responsibilities; benefits package described.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in accounts payable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license
