Job Summary
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Officer responsible for supporting debtor and creditor management, accounts payable/receivable, fleet administration and financial reporting within a national housing maintenance organisation. Roles include invoice processing, payment allocations, reconciliations, debtor management, month-end activities, and coordinating fleet administration, with a focus on accuracy, process improvement, and customer service. Requires Certificate III in Business Administration, Accounts, Bookkeeping or related discipline, plus experience in AP/AR and ERP systems; strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills; permanent full-time — based in the Newcastle area Southern NSW region.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Accounts, Bookkeeping or a related discipline
- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance administration or a similar role
- Strong computer skills, including experience with accounting, finance or ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when working with financial data
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the business
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while using initiative
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality service
- A positive, adaptable and proactive attitude with a strong sense of accountability
