Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Summary
Process full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by reviewing, coding, matching, and entering vendor invoices, appraisal/title invoices, employee expense reports, and broker fees into the accounting system. Monitor incoming payments, post loan settlement proceeds, record wire transfers, and reconcile vendor statements while investigating discrepancies. Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers accurately within required turnaround times, and return all emails and phone calls within two hours. Assist in month-end closing procedures, general ledger account reconciliations, and audit document preparation. Maintain accurate tracking logs and documentation for all transactions and open invoices. This role supports mortgage accounting operations in a fast-paced environment, requiring hands-on experience with full-cycle AP and AR functions and familiarity with mortgage lending workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Computer Literacy
- Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Loan Vision, or industry equivalent)
- LOS familiarity (e.g., Encompass)
- intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in an office setting
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet daily and month-end deadlines

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
- Knowledge of mortgage lending accounting concepts, terminology, and workflows (title, escrow, appraisal billing, loan closing disbursements) preferred
