Job Summary
Accounts Payable Specialist role responsible for ensuring timely payment of all amounts due, administering the bi-weekly payroll cycle, processing invoices and coding with grant allocations, routing documents for signatures and approvals, maintaining vendor logs and performing month-end closings and reconciliations. The position interfaces with internal and external stakeholders including department directors, executive staff, vendors, and donors; performs payroll processing and check/ACH requests; handles AP inbox and inquiries; supports BGCSNV events; requires ability to manage time, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and provide professional customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and related software, plus willingness to work occasional irregular or extended hours; driving required for Nevada with a valid license. Requires at least 21 years of age for driving, and the role involves handling multiple tasks, vendor management, and account reconciliations. The job emphasizes accuracy, organization, and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field is preferred
- Three years of experience performing accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, recording cash receipts, and vendor management
