Job Summary
Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day finance operations, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, posting journals, processing expense claims, and managing government subsidy claims. Role involves monitoring cash flow, assisting month-end activities, improving finance processes, and contributing to a scalable finance function. Key skills include Excel proficiency, experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred), attention to detail, and effective stakeholder communication. Hybrid role based in Glasgow with office presence Tue–Thu and home-based Mon & Fri; occasional travel to London may be required. The candidate will work within a close-knit finance team, contribute to process improvements, and ensure timely and accurate financial records.
Required Qualifications
- AAT qualification, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA status, or equivalent practical finance experience
- Experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general finance administration
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience using accounting software, with NetSuite experience an advantage
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers, customers, Government bodies and internal stakeholders
