Job Summary
Accounts Administrator/Accounts Payable Clerk position responsible for daily processing of Ilminster and Torquay purchase ledger invoices, supplier payment runs, reconciliations (cash book and control accounts), HMRC VAT/Intrastat reporting, and supporting intercompany processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires experience with purchase ledgers, supplier relations, and delivering accurate financial administration, along with strong Microsoft Office skills and potential Syspro/MRP exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Ideally AAT qualified or with equivalent work experience
- Experience in a similar Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger role, in a medium to large business
- Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving capabilities
- Team player
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of using an MRP system - Syspro knowledge advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills
- Proven ability to work to strict deadlines
