Job Summary
Accounting Technician responsible for accounts receivable/payable and payroll activities. Performs payroll processing, quarterly reports (941, state wages), W-2s and 1099s, vendor management, invoices processing and verification, bank reconciliations, cash receipts and credit card transactions, and related accounting tasks. Ensures proper documentation and supports continuous quality improvement; requires strong general accounting skills, proficiency with automated accounting software, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Based in the City of Fairbanks, Alaska, with travel within the Fairbanks North Star Borough; position may require occasional evenings and weekends. Knowledge of accounting software, strong attention to detail, and ability to organize and prioritize tasks are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Two years’ experience in accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
