Job Summary
Lead a team of accountants to deliver monthly close and reconciliations; review journal entries and reconciliations; develop accounting staff through training and feedback; take the initial lead on researching complex topics; provide guidance on daily tasks (deposits, invoicing, billing, collections, prepaid items, fixed assets) and on wire/ACH transactions; coordinate with customers/vendors on accounting issues; design and implement improved reconciliations and onboarding of new entities; support the annual audit; utilize standard reporting tools and advanced Excel features; collaborate across the accounting team to meet deadlines and improve processes through automation and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years’ experience in financial services
- 7+ years’ experience with general ledger and subledger systems
- Experience in journal entries and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills ( INDEX-MATCH, OFFSET, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
