Job Summary
As Accounting Supervisor, supervise a 2–3 person accounting team; manage the monthly close cycle, review financial reports, and support internal accounting functions. Drive process improvements and scale financial operations within a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include coordinating and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial reporting, approving annual reconciliations for triple net lease structures, reviewing and authorizing updates to tenant escrow billing, managing reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, overseeing fixed asset accounting in the ERP system, driving process optimization and technology utilization, collaborating across teams to resolve internal and external financial inquiries, and supporting other finance-related projects. Desired skills include experience with Yardi, advanced Excel, strong communication, and a focus on detail in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting
- Demonstrated experience leading a team or sub-function
- Familiarity with financial ERP systems (experience with Yardi is highly desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Deadline-oriented with solid organizational capabilities
- Independent problem solver with excellent attention to detail
- Adaptable and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
