Job Summary
Oversee daily accounting operations across accounts payable, treasury, fixed assets, and prepaid accounts, ensuring transactions are processed accurately per GAAP and internal policy. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules while reviewing team work for accuracy and compliance. Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff by assigning work, monitoring performance, and contributing to development plans. Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and assist with internal and external audits. Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and streamline workflows while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 1–2+ years leading, training, or supervising accounting staff
- Solid background in AP, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfort with accounting software systems
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Clear communicator

- Collaborative
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
- CPA preferred, not required
- Experience in a multi-site, healthcare, or investor-backed environment is a plus
