Job Summary
Process and record daily financial transactions including invoices, payments, and receipts. Reconcile cash and bank statements to ensure accuracy of financial data. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Maintain organized accounting records and collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies. Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, M3, SUN, SAP, OneStream, PeopleSoft or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience working in the accommodation and food services industry or a related hospitality sector
- Familiarity with payroll systems and tax regulations specific to the United States
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and USALI
- Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
