Job Summary
Ensure payments are made on all City of Orlando projects and maintain accurate financial records to support these payments. Provide lead direction by training, overseeing, and assigning work to employees with less experience. Assist with the preparation of reports and review departmental budgets during the budgeting process. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports submitted, periodic audits, and discussions under the supervision of an administrative superior. This role supports the Fiscal Management Section of a Department within the City of Orlando.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree with major coursework in Accounting
- four (4) years of responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience in the area of assignment
- equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to operate personal computers
- specific knowledge of Workday
- specific knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Must pass background check which includes polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to operate personal computers with specific knowledge of Workday and Microsoft Excel highly desired
