Job Summary
Accounting Specialist responsible for preparing quarterly financial information and performance indicators for the MD&A and supplementary information, ensuring accuracy and completeness, coordinating input from regional groups, and reconciling non-GAAP measures with IFRS equivalents. Will contribute to monthly management reports, analyze head office expenses versus budget, respond to senior management inquiries, assist in the review of external communications, develop presentations for senior leadership, identify process-improvement opportunities, and produce internal controls (52-109) to maintain a robust internal-control environment. Requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, strong communication skills, and bilingual proficiency. Hybrid work model in Montréal/Laval/Saint-Hyacinthe area.
Required Qualifications
- CPA or Chartered Professional Accountant
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Ability to lead, work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with financial reporting processes and internal controls
- Knowledge of Oracle, FCCS or related implementations is a plus
- Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus
