Job Summary
Accounting Specialist position in Seattle with a hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in-office). Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable, managing employee benefits and census, GL coding, bank/vendor reconciliations, processing I-9 employment eligibilities and 1099 filings, vendor onboarding, credit card reconciliations, filing, mail management, office-supply control, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Requires 2+ years of financial/office management experience or an associate degree in business, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and proficiency with MS Office; experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, or similar automated payments software is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of prior work experience in a financial/office management role or associate degree in business or related field
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
- Must have bookkeeping and/or accounts payable experience
- Preferred experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, or other automated payments software
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, intermediate Excel skills
