Job Summary
Process, record, and reconcile financial information for district funds, grants, and accounts payable while monitoring expenditures and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Analyze financial records to identify budget variances, compile statistical reports, and assist auditors with supporting documentation. Prepare grant reimbursement requests, financial statements, and budget reports to facilitate decision-making and maintain accurate account balances. Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and auditors, and participate in unit meetings to stay current on regulatory guidelines. Perform year-end closing activities and roll-over procedures for annual audits and grant closeouts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Four (4) or more years of job related experience within public school accounting
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background Clearance
- Valid Driver's License/Evidence of Insurability
