Job Summary
Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including monitoring the inbox, reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and processing weekly payment runs via ACH, check, and wire. Support Accounts Receivable activities such as customer invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliations, while maintaining accurate customer records and monitoring outstanding balances. Prepare and post journal entries, perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities including accruals and cut-off reviews. Reconcile vendor and bank statements, investigate discrepancies, and prepare documentation for financial statement reviews and external audits. Execute on-demand data analysis and special projects to support immediate business needs while identifying process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Two or more years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, debits and credits, account reconciliations, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Netsuite, Quickbooks, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, filters, and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while meeting deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, customers, employees, and cross-functional business partners
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Hands-on responsibility for Accounts Payable and general ledger activities
- Experience supporting Accounts Receivable, cash management, and month-end close
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or other regulated environment
