Job Summary
Accounting Specialist responsible for daily accounting operations (AR, AP, GL), bank reconciliations, invoicing, AR aging, profitability analysis, weekly/monthly reporting, month-end and year-end close in Sage, and preparation of reports for CPA review and tax reporting. Will maintain customer financial data accuracy, process recurring invoices and payments, support inventory and operational reporting, and assist with compliance reporting including 1099s, sales tax, and unclaimed property filings. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field, 3+ years of experience, GAAP proficiency, Sage 100 ERP familiarity, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and financial reporting
- Experience with Sage 100 ERP systems preferred
- Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail with strong communication and time management skills
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized company environment
