Job Summary
Process daily check deposits and verify credit card deposits for accuracy. Enter accounts payable invoices, process payments, and maintain an accurate aging report. Prepare journal entries, maintain check registers, and reconcile monthly statements and transactions. Maintain W-9 and W-8 tax documentation for 1099 and 1098 reporting. Review and prepare license holder refunds. Prepare and enter company payroll, perform related reporting and administrative functions, and assist with employee benefit plan administration. Submit sales and use tax filings. This hybrid role requires commuting to the office three days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or professional certification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years' experience in a similar position with a focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general bookkeeping functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create, maintain, and work with financial spreadsheets
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Organizational skills
